About
Arizona Jacuzzi Hotels
Arizona’s jacuzzi suite hotel market is built around two places that don’t resemble each other at all. Scottsdale is resort infrastructure at scale — The Phoenician, Andaz Scottsdale, Sanctuary Camelback Mountain, and 50+ other properties along a resort corridor that runs from Old Town north into Paradise Valley. The whirlpool tub is a standard suite amenity here, not an upgrade. Scottsdale pulls bachelorette parties, Spring Training baseball visitors in February and March, snowbirds from November through April, and couples doing the Arizona desert resort trip they’ve been planning for years. Rates run accordingly — peak winter weekends at Scottsdale’s top properties frequently exceed $500 per night for a suite with a private tub.
Sedona is 120 miles north in the red rock canyon country of northern Arizona, and it’s a completely different experience. The town has 10,000 year-round residents and a hotel market built almost entirely around retreat-style experiences — small room counts, private outdoor spaces, in-room soaking tubs facing the rock formations. L’Auberge de Sedona sits along Oak Creek with creekside cottage accommodations. Enchantment Resort occupies a slot canyon in the Boynton Canyon area. Both are purpose-built for the kind of trip where the room is the destination, not just the place you sleep. Sedona also has genuinely distinct food and the best off-road Jeep touring in Arizona.
Phoenix and Tempe add urban inventory for travelers combining work and leisure, with more mid-range jacuzzi suite options at prices well below Scottsdale. Tucson, 115 miles south, has its own desert resort market — Miraval, Canyon Ranch at Tucson, and Loews Ventana Canyon are the flagship properties, and the Sonoran Desert setting with saguaro cactus at elevation gives it a different character than the Phoenix metro. Flagstaff at 7,000 feet is the base for Grand Canyon day trips and has good jacuzzi hotel options that run at lower rates than both Scottsdale and Sedona year-round. Arizona’s hotel market is strongest from November through April when desert temperatures are ideal.
