Hotels with Jacuzzi in Room in Tucson, Arizona Jacuzzi Hotels
Tucson is 115 miles south of Phoenix in the Sonoran Desert at 2,400 feet elevation, surrounded by five mountain ranges. The city has 550,000 residents and a hotel market anchored by three resort properties that make Tucson worth a dedicated trip rather than a Phoenix extension. Miraval Arizona, 30 miles north of downtown near Catalina, is a full-service life-enrichment resort — all-inclusive, wellness-programmed, and specifically designed for guests who want guided activities rather than a conventional resort stay. Rates run $700 to $1,200 per night all-inclusive and the property has a loyal following. Canyon Ranch at Tucson, on the city’s north side, operates on a similar model as a medically supervised wellness resort on a 150-acre campus.
Loews Ventana Canyon, on the northeast side of Tucson at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains, is the most conventional luxury resort of the three — full-service hotel with multiple pools, two Arnold Palmer golf courses, a spa, and Sonoran Desert landscape that makes the setting comparable to Scottsdale at lower rates. Suite categories include in-room soaking tub options with mountain or desert views. Downtown Tucson and the 4th Avenue arts district have boutique hotel options at lower prices for travelers who want the city experience. The University of Arizona is a significant institutional anchor in the city center.
Tucson’s hotel market peaks during the University of Arizona’s regular season (fall through spring for basketball, football, and baseball). The Gem and Mineral Show in February is the largest gem show in the world and fills every hotel in the city for two weeks. Outside those events, Tucson runs moderate rates year-round — summer heat in Tucson reaches 105°F but is milder than Phoenix by 5 to 10 degrees at the higher elevation. Saguaro National Park West and East are at the city limits, and the Sonoran Desert landscape at sunset from a resort room is one of the better free views in Arizona.
